We may sell some distillates, and we may even export (you know oil is fungible, and thus alaska oil may be most competitive in say Japan), but we will never produce more than we use. Unless, we were to simultaneously reduce our consumption hugely, and that will never be allowed. Consumption is our purpose, we must consume, we must consume, we must consume.

So what is this a prequal to “the EPA and environmentalist won’t let us destroy the ecology of the country and make us all rich”? Are we really all that desparate to have oil that we will destroy the country or are you just trying to convince us we should be. Also, please supply evidence that such a resource exists, I doubt it does. You do realize that estimates from industries selling something are typically misleading.
