That is conspiracy theory in the same class as the Hollywood landing on the Moon.

Ukraine has been occupied by Poles, Germans, and Russians in recent history. All they wanted is to be FREE. Once Putin realized that Ukrainians will not march to his tune, and have dethroned dictator-president just like Russian did the Czar 100 years ago, he started to dismantle Ukraine any which way he could. The security treaty maintaining Ukraine’s border in exchange for second largest nuclear arsenal in its possession, signed by Russia meant NOTHING!

It is pretty clear by now that the US invested $5b to destabilize Ukraine since the orange revolution! With Nuland and McCain in Kiev handing out cookies to protesters and the US categorically denying the violence of the protests and the sniper shooting of police and protesters by the then-time opposition and their neo-Nazi allies and the US’s advisor role in Kiev, it is hard to deny that the US orchestrated the protests and riots and the war on Donbas in the aftermath, when the people in eastern Ukraine and Crimea refused to accept the criminal putsch government in Kiev. Democracy? Freedom? It takes a lot of imagination to see either as outcome of this tour de force instigated by the US to undermine Russia. BTW, Russia didn’t annex Crimea, but the Crimeans in a legal and properly organized referendum decided to join Russia. the fact that Russia accepted their request is no an annexation. Nor has Putin any desire to restore the borders of the old Soviet Union. What the western storytellers leave out is that the US breached all agreements with Russia that NATO would not move into the former Soviet republics. It is clear that had Crimea not desired on its own to join Russia, Russia would likely have had no other choice but to annex it – to protect its national security against an ever more tyrannical and obsessive US. It is obvious that Russia will do what is necessary to keep NATO out of Ukraine. Donbas as an independent territory – similar to Abkazia in Georgia – will have just that effect: either Kiev lets go of Crimea and Donbas or it cannot join NATO. The US could have avoided all that had it been considerate to Russia’s national security interests. Unfortunately, consideration of others is not a strength of the US. What fuels the US hubris is really the fact that the world is moving away from dollar denominated trade, which will reduce dollar reserve currency that underpins the US debt, threatening devaluation of the dollar and potential default of the US. The new cold war started by the US will not prevent that – which leaves the world with the danger of a US started nuclear war. Like Hitler, the US will not go down witout trying to take the world with it. Only for a blind journalist could reality be a conspiracy theory.

The hypocrisy on both sides of this issue are shamelessly self serving interest.

Can this really be true? and why did Russia Today (RT) say this?
