Italy! Largest country on earth, produces as much goods and services and wealth…. as little Italy. Under Putin’s brilliant leadership, GDP per capita in Russia is now lower than Czech Republic.

Russia is a failing state. All the talent and money is leaving for better places.

The good Russian hackers have gone to higher paying countries. Putin should have stuck to arresting the dangerous girls of Pussy Riot for teasing him. More his speed.

The smart money is leaving Russia. Putin is incapable of effective leadership. Too busy trying to win Chernobyl back, in Ukraine. No one is impressed because no one cares. Putin is losing ground in global trade.

… Here are just some quotes from the today’s editorial in the Moscow office of “Radio Liberty” (which until recently was headed by Masha Gessen), that is brightly titled, “Putin should be driven away from a palm tree”:
– Luis Bontes, MEP from the Netherlands: “Putin – is a threat to the European security. The Evil Empire is back. We should not fall down as victims of Putin the maniac.”
Bogdan Borusewicz, Speaker of the Polish Parliament: “I expect that they will be found and punished – all who are responsible for the chauvinistic persecution of those people, who do not approve the imperial Russian policy of aggression against neighbouring states.”
Guy Verhofstadt, a former Prime Minister of the Netherlands: “Putin has turned Russia into a totalitarian state in which there is no respect for democracy and freedom; there is no place for opposition.”
Tunne Kelam, MEP from Estonia: “The corrupt Putin’s regime threatens the freedom of Ukraine, as well as security and the economy across Europe. Europe must show the will to protect its values and to do so immediately.”
Inessa Vaidere, MEP from Latvia: “The crimes of totalitarian communism must be investigated and the perpetrators should be punished as in the case of Nazism.” –
… If you find even a hint of criticism of the West in the English version of “Radio Liberty”, the same hour I will agree with the author! But you should not even try – the dirty cheap propaganda, having paid-up by the US State Department – that is the face of today’s “liberal” Western press: http://www.rferl.org/ .
