This is what makes this so ugly and so horrible. Black lives matter just as much as white lives and we should not allow the police to think they can shoot down black people with no results. We need to agree that we are a better people and will not allow racists and thugs to get away with taking more lives that are part of a family who care about them.

You think America BELONGS to white people? Think.

If they weren’t, they would have formed under the 8 years of Bush Administration. Bush started the Homeland Security Department, No Child Left Behind, Medicare drug benefit expansion, Patriot Act, 2 wars, 3 Trillion dollar deficit on those wars….

Does that sound like small government to you? Yet no Tea party activity that whole time. Then a black man gets in office… tea party forms the same year. Government is suddenly too big. “Take back America.” You mean bring back your white boy. We hear the inside jokes in the red states. We’re among you, listening.

You’re bordering on being paranoid like Dylan Roof obviously is.

You take Roof and a killer from 1963 and use them to represent white Americans- Should we use the Ferguson looter animals to represent you?
You want to control our very thoughts and you make assumptions about our thoughts that are insulting and are the same prejudice that you claim to disdain.
You were never a slave neither was your father or grandfather yet you are STUCK in slave times with slave anger. Get over your color already, I know I have. I remember in 2nd grade in Los Angeles when ROOTS came out on TV and all the black kids at school (where I was trucked across town to “desegregate”) were suddenly angry at us whites and said to us “your people slaved mine.” and wouldn’t play with us anymore. Talk about devisive. Do you watch TV?! You see all us whites bending over backwards to show you that truly we’re not racist and this mentally ill Roof doesn’t represent us?

In that sense the black church once served the purpose of supplying an acceptable voice for blacks. This is no longer the case, in general. With some exceptions, employers and governments and fellow citizens do way less punishment and harassment of the irreligious. Thus the black church, as with all churches are less important since people can generally speak more freely than they once could without being punished by those that hear voices in their heads. If I were to plan a way to keep a population from acting upon their own initiative and instead remain locked in with an irrational hope of change from a divine imaginary source, I would do what I can to make them religious. Further, I would pretend to attack that religion too, so that they would have the belief that they were being pushed away from that religion because that is what I really feared. But instead it is what I would want, because praying for deliverance by an imaginary being is far less effective in moving a given group to equal footing in society than taking rational steps based on what can actually work to force societal changes. Organized political pressure that does not depend on divine intervention is more likely to succeed.
