And judiciary is also out of his control.
So fight against corruption is in the hands of Poroshenko, but he does not want to fight corruption as many of his aides in President’s Administration (including Head of Administration) are corrupt.
Head of the National Bank appointed by Poroshenko is also corrupt, and she helps Russian bank Sberbank’s Ukrainian office, while Sberbank is under Western sanctions.

ukraine seems extremely corrupt and its been hidden and swept up in the ideological fervor of their revolution and civil war. us should continue to apply pressure

Most of the US media fails to criticize corrupt government officials of a favored party ate and in the USA. Turning the 1st amendment thru the lack of objective and unbiased reporting into a propaganda machine for a select Just us agenda. Lie upon lie. Corruption in Ukraine are limited to amateurs compared to the US and Western EU nations, UN, and NATO. With PC of this Idealist agenda of overthrowing governments, human rights, and establishing absolute control of people thru how one MUST think. (Like Western Nations backing Saudi Arabia a despotic nation) how typically hypocritical….

This is a de-facto Nazi regime. If they weren’t white, we’d be sending them drone strikes rather than American taxpayer dollars.

It will take a generation to clear the mindset, unless as the writer states, people put the interest of the country above their own.

Neither a fan nor hater of ukraine, but i’ve seen exactly what the true face of western media is to be fooled by them again. To give you a feel:

chances are my comment will be disallowed by “opinion writers” who cant tolerate other opinion

He is up to his eyeballs in this dirt of corruption where he had grown up and belongs to forever. Same applies to the majority of those in power now. There no other way, but to weed them out and start a new page, otherwise Ukraine will remain a state that never looses a chance to loose a chance.

As a retired USAF officer I hope Ukraine can join the EU and have a government that is of the people, for the people and by the people with freedoms like the rest of us in the free world but if the leaders are corrupt then let them cast their fate with the Russian system.
