Eliminating one species has a domino effect that will eventually lead back to us humans. Eliminating mosquitoes may eliminate several other species that form part of the food chain, eventually leading to failed crops. Also the series of events can lead to other catastrophic events like loss of forest cover leading to climate change, natural deforestation etc.,

If a bird or a bat dies off, so what? Get rid of malaria, get rid of dengue fever, get rid of Zika virus, and the other diseases transported by mosquitoes.

Our abuse of other elements in those systems – bats, insects, trees, etc. – results in worse consequences for ourselves.

2) Recent science determined that the mosquito is not a critical part of any ecosystem and if wiped out would have minimal impact.

From what I know about them, I’d be willing to take the chance of having them all eradicated from the planet.

I got in in Manila. It is related to dengue but many times with no fever and no red blood cell lyceing.
2. over crowding does not cause disease, only the potential of the spread. Compare overpopulated Japan to Brazil. Civilized wealth, compared to open sewage and shanty towns. Poverty and lack of education are the biggest obstacle to overcome all mosquito diseases.

Human over-population provides many hosts for the pahogens to spread among.

Are bats more important than saving millions of human lives? No, they aren’t. It’s really that simple.

Each of these birds eats thousands of mosquitoes every day and acts as a control.

Organo-phosphate pesticides are a disaster for living beings and should not be used.
