Poverty makes people weak and controllable, fear makes people weak and controllable, force applied by fascist secret police controls the non-brainwashed. The terrorists are just a little more overt and direct while our leaders stand behind shields of religion, ideology and patriotism. Under both our leaders or the terrorists one is at the mercy of cruel and greedy people who see all other humans as fodder for their enrichment and aggrandizement. I would argue further that a resolution to terrorism is not truly sought by world leaders because a real solution must include the end of religion, and that is too important a tool in controlling those that do the work that make our owners wealthy.
