I am likewise impressed by the estimated trillion-dollar tax evasion revealed by the Panama Papers. Which, I wonder, is the more dangerous threat to the welfare of the United States, ISIS or unending greed?

When their families are dead in the streets, they’ll be the first ones begging for someone to fight for them.

They are not bright enough to see the mode change for confrontation which occurs with technology change, and thus they fight as they were trained despite the new capabilities. I would point you toward rifled barrels as a simplistic example. It took nearly the entire Civil War for people to realize that marching people at each other in lines was not too bright. How many people died simply because some dumb old general was taught a certain method of battle when he was in school.
