Brexit enthusiasts are moved by emotions rather than clear analysis.

Few Brits would mourn the exit of international corporations and rich foreigners shirking their own countries’ tax laws to set up non-residential domiciles around London. Many of the best properties in England no longer belong to the British. Exiting the EU might hurt the City, but under current rules, would return power to the people. Wake up, greedy elites. You can screw people only so long before they show you the door.

Brexit is the perfect solution for the UK and for the EU. Let’s do it at the same time as the Scottish indipendence. The pound is a currency union that needs to be dismanted to allow Scotland, Wales and Nrthern Ireland to enjoy full sovereignty

It is also Europe’s financial capital and vies with New York to be the world’s financial capital. The UK accounts for 74 percent of the EU’s foreign-exchange trading and 40 percent of global trading in euros; 85 percent of the EU’s hedge-fund assets; 42 percent of its private-equity funds; and half of pension assets and international insurance premiums, according to a recent report by TheCityUK, which represents the UK’s financial services industry.”

The above-quoted paragraph from the article is how you know that The City will not be severely impacted regardless of whether the UK remains in the EU or leaves it.
