As economic improvements occur people have more opportunity to pursue endeavours such as political expression. China will struggle either economically or socially or by both means because they are not going to allow freedom to the people. Of course, you know, that’s also why our government is in the process of creating massive numbers of poor in this country, so they won’t try and have democracy. Although, to be fair, the american people are rather lazy, weak, selfish and stupid. They could literally vote out the criminals and vote in true citizens, yet they don’t. So, like I said, lazy, weak, selfish and stupid. USA! USA! USA!

The Chinese have several thousand years of practice at being rogues and thugs, so how could anyone expect behavior to the contrary? Take away the robes of an emperor or warlord and put them in a suit changes not the real character of these people and their “leaders”. Hong Kong, its culture and people, are just doomed.

Afraid China is going to take away your playmate?
