Chiranjeevi, 53, is in good company. M.G. Ramachandran, N.T. Rama Rao, J. Jayalalithaa and M. Karunanidhi had all successfully made the leap from silver screen to political stage.
And with assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh looming in 2009, I wouldn’t be too surprised to see Chiranjeevi seated on the chief minister’s chair.

That sight alone would have caused heartburn to rival politicians, left praying that those numbers won’t actually translate into votes.
I am not saying that actors make better politicians. But they do have history on their side. At least in south
I wonder what will happen if reigning Tamil superstar Rajnikanth throws his hat into the ring.

It will not be easy for Chiru to win the elections.Had it been so ,his friend Ashwini Dutt would have won in the last election with active support and canvassing of Chiru and his fans.
Apart from it , jr.NTR and Balakrishna wouldnot keep quiet.They have their own followers.And ChandraBabu has vast political experieence to convert the wave into their favour.
Congress has money , power and Maheshbabu.It is a powerful receipe for success.Interesting time ahead.

Rajkumar did not want to and did not become a politician. He had a massive fan following but he never used it for political purposes.
I agree though that in South India (incl Karnataka and Kerala) movie stars find it easy to be successful politicians.

Whenever you are going to post a Blog you should do some research and homework.Because of the entire blog will be read y the reader and they have options of writing comments on it.I think you may undersatnd what i am saying that is about Rajkumar. HE did’t enter any politics in Karnataka.
Lets come to the topic i dont think so Chiranjeevi can become Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.Its not situation of Andhra pradesh at the time of NTR entering politics. After Y.S.Rajasekhat Reddy become the Chief Minister he has done a very great work for the Andhra Pradesh.Let me tell some thing about those
1.Formers electricity bills waived off and the suply of electricity become free.
2.Thousands of crores are investing on Irrigation project.
3.Old age pinctions encresed to 200 rs from 60 rs. And the amount is paided to them at their home on the 1st or 2nd of the month as paid to salary to ovt employees.
4.25 ps loans for women and for selfhelp groups without having any security.
5.Indiramma houses for every eligible individual who are eligible.
6.Arogya sree is helping for the poor people who are in need. Ration card become pass to the corporate hospitals.
Every individual benefitted in ANDHRA PRADESH with the programs of Y.S.Rajasekhar Reddy.
To tell like these there are tens of programs of Andhra pradesh govt.
If a person who benefitted by the govt in these four years , caste vote for congress, YSR becomes CM. It is enough to become Y.S.Rajasekhar Reddy CM again.
Then how the Chiranjevi become CM.
And also in Telangana there a new parties, at least they can secure some seats.
And the Telugu Desam also has Cine glamour and they are in aggressive for the power.if not atleast to secure second position after cogress.

If chiranjeevi will become CM, he should clean our government well. I know…Not too difficult…also not easy., but he should work a lot,also we are expecting from him lot, first day of speech we noticed, The speech was absolutely good and he is considering all. Practically it should work, Hopefully he will be the best CM. He knows…the pain of difficult of life. so no need to explain more to him.

Point taken and have removed Rajkumar’s name from the list. But would like to clarify that although Rajkumar never formally joined politics, he was actively involved in the Gokak movement in Karnataka.

independence means Freedom from control or influence of another or others. There are 60 to 80 communities who do not have their reps in Assembly or parliament. The media is owned by rich not by middle class. After 60 years of independence wevers are committing sucides. really speaking educated are not really socially conscious people. I like chiru.
