Recently some bollywood stars were on the streets of Mumbai to protest against the Delhi gang rape. As a concerned citizen, I suggest them to adapt measures to stop portraying the Indian girl/young woman in negative roles and as victims of sexual offences. They need to realize that illiterate male mindsets in rural parts of India do get easily influenced by watching negative scenes in movies which has been going on since decades. It is time to bring about some constructive & educative changes. Influential women like Jaya Bachan and Shabana Azmi may have potentials to initiate improvements that will support the girls/women of India through film and music industry.
