I work for one of the "backwater" newspapers Warren Buffett just bought ... a consistent honoree as the top newspaper in Virginia in its circulation class. And the Bristol Herald-Courier, in another Shafer backwater? Winner of a recent Pulitzer for public service. I would love to be much more blunt with Shafer and tell him exactly what I think of him and the aspersions he's cast upon hundreds of hardworking journalists, but I don't think it would get past Reuters' profanity filters.
