Pelosi and Reid tried to use Ted Kennedy. Ted wanted Health care for every one, but not the way the democrats were applying it. Mass. has told Obama what our great country is about. It isn`t over yet untill Pelosi, Reid, and all the bribed congress are removed also.If the whole U.S. congress does not begin to work together for us soon,we will have to fire a lot of them on both sides.
        WE THE PEOPLE.

From Chicago, congrats to Scott Brown and the people of Massachusetts on bringing the seat held for the last 50 years back to the party of Henry Cabot Lodge, who held it before the Kennedys. Now it's our job this November to bring the seat recently held by Barack Obama back to the party of Abraham Lincoln.

J.P.'s last post is astute. The first (Wall St.) casualty of this will be Bernanke. He's toast now. The Dem's only viable option to salvage 2010 is to crack down on the Banksters. This assumes anyone in Congress has the courage to bite the hands that have been feeding them. Dems are now between a rock and a hard place. Geithner will follow Bernanke out the door.
The question is whether Obama thinks he can get away with installing new stealth Wall St. puppets, or whether he really opts for "Change" this time. A failure to do so, will be disastrous for the Dems for many years, as the new, youngish Dem base will have completely lost faith.

What are they thinking in MA? I thought this was a progressive state. A Cosmo model?
This is as bad as voting for Palin. What's with the campaigners for Brown, not only holding a sign for their Republican candidate, but an American flag as well. Do they have to prove that he is an American? Very sad indeed if they vote this ex-model in to replace Kennedy. What a mistake for MA. It is very disappointing.

AH, the return of the angry white man. I live in a system set up to serve me, yet I can blame my 'lot in life' on perceived political setbacks.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. A victory for the people, for democracy, for freedom. I don't live the USA but I despair at what has been happening there.

When I hear Americans talk about their country I am often amazed that they can't see how f*cked up it is becoming. I can assure you that the view everywhere else in the world is that the US is finished as an economic and political power - worthless as an ally and toothless as an ememy. Blithely hurtling towards a sovereign debt crisis.

This may be the first of many steps necessary to turn that around.

Even though it appears the election is going against the current administration, they still don't seem to be listening to the people. What happened to 'Of the people, by the people and for the people'? Ms. Pelosi says it doesn't matter how this election turns out, she is still going to get health care rammed thru. It may be poetic justice that the folks in the land of the original tea party slow the descent into God knows what. I'd like to see health care reform, but not the Pelosi/Reid/Obama variety. God Bless America.
