Do You know who makes money from these games? Those who organize them. Rio has no public transport, no good hospitals, security is bad, bad guys dominate the police and corruption is widespread. I am from Rio.

Unfortunately, Brazil does not even meet the conditions to achieve the World Cup, let alone promote an Olympiad, further in a short time. It would be utopian to think that Brazil is capable of this feat. Not only lack infrastructure in the hotel network and security problems. The hole is below. Missing a greater awareness of the project (I am not referring only to the Olympics) is a national and not just regional. In Brazil, among the problems, there is too much bureaucracy, which not only delays, but also affect the progress of works, not to mention the embelezzment that exist. Also a lack of adequate transport infrastructure, which in view of the IOC, is a more serious problem than the hotel structure, since, as envisioned, the military will patrol the streets of Rio, which is likely. And in the event of a serious incident as an attack for example, the structure (or rather the lack of structure) of public hospitals is extremely poor, and you'll forget this extra demand. For transport, one would have to make massive investments in subway and making it more buses and lines ... etc.. Honestly, the viewpoint of the existing structure, Sao Paulo is a city a little more prepared than the Rio de Janeiro, to have an event of this magnitude. Will not be this time, that Brazil will host an Olympiad, and will not be anytime soon.
