Of course he does not give any figures for the loss of fish protein food supply from rivers and oceans due to run-off of agricultural chemicals and pesticides, and other negative effects on the water supply.

mounting SCIENTIFIC evidence suggests and even proves that the environmental effects of genetically modified crops are hazardous and produce by cross pollination DNA that is poisonous to insects, animals, and even ground bacteria. taking genetic material and 'broadcasting' it randomly along with 'activating' genes into target DNA leaves the evolutionary door open to ever expanding genetic codes that not only mix species but also creates 'franken'foods, weeds, and seed that is unable to grow another generation of food, i.e. baren.
the standard of 'presumed safe' established by the FDA and lobbiests is not based on scientific evidence and many people as well as livestock worldwide have been sickened by eating these crops. bt-corn that was not to be planted in mexico has been planted and contaminated many indegenious varieties.
companies that copyright genetic codes do so for financial gain, not to feed the masses of poor and hungry people. credible evidence has shown that crop yields do not measure up, pesticide use increases...not decreases, and farmers, i.e.India, who buy into this 'system' of farming are going backwards financially. there is also evidence that these gm foods weaken the immune system and make it more likely that a pandemic disease would be even more catastrophic. if we embrace science, gm technology will be rejected not embraced as the solution to world hunger.
