Hmm. Perhaps Mr Thompson’s finely tuned rhetoric might carry more authority if his own use of words didn’t seem to require constant “clarification”.
John – you are all too ready to blame the press – and now the readers – and exonerate the powerful.
Thompson’s parting gift to Britain is a BBC rocked by its worst crisis, an organisation choked by absurdly over remunerated managers and a lingering sense that someone is being economical with the actualite. Some legacy.
