No amount of subsidized gas from Gasprom can make up for the theft of Crimea or the deaths of 3,000+ Ukrainians.

The anachronism that Ukraine’s economy is today can become the next Poland or Check Republic tomorrow. Let Putin keep his rusting Black Fleet in the stolen port – Ukraine sails for the future now, not the past.

This is a threat, not just to Ukraine, but also to Europe. A period of peace is over.” – did the EU twin up with the US to guarantee that European peace and trade with Russia would be dangerously compromised? Only “two very thick short planks” could have ignored the WW3 risk by stamping so unceremoneously on Russia’s delicate toes. EU is hand in hand with Washington’s politics of the damned who don’t mind having us as a buffer when they start bombing.

Kiev was an established cultural, administrative, commercial, military and university city around 1000 AD whilst Moscow and St. Petersburg were still swampland. Ukrainians have always advocated peace over warfare, culture over barbarism, education over ignorance and religious tolerance. Indeed these qualities of morality were provided to its many neighbours over time; Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, the Tartars, the Ottoman Empire and oh yes, to that tribe to the east. They all in turn advocated belligerence. The Ukrainian people were steadfast and resolute, defending their traditional lands with calvary and diplomacy, always united. In point of fact, Ukrainian cossacks and castles defended their lands and by default Europe from the Mongolian Invasions, preserving Europe from carnage and plunder. Stalin murdered 10 million defenseless Ukrainians in 1932-1933 Holodomor, a travesty which ought to be recognized in current media. Donbas has always been Ukraine; unless you acknowledge genocide as a reasonable method of expropriation. The land mass of Ukraine is 603,628 sq kms, the largest country in Europe; this manifest physical existence is testament to the virtues of Ukrainian civilization. Morality is the key and has nothing to do with ‘subordination’.
