Euro – Stay calm and behave, Dzagoyev tells Russian fans
WARSAW (Reuters) – Alan Dzagoyev, whose three goals in two games have left Russia well placed to reach the Euro 2012 quarter-finals, appealed on Friday to his country’s fans not to misbehave during the remainder of the tournament.
Russia have the threat of a six-point deduction hanging over them in next European Championship qualifying if their fans cause trouble of the same severity that marred the crowd disturbances in their 4-1 victory over the Czech Republic in Wroclaw.

Russia must live up to Advocaat billing
WARSAW (Reuters) – Russia coach Dick Advocaat’s assertion that his team have played the best football at Euro 2012 will come under the microscope when they look to seal a quarter-final place and send Greece home on Saturday.
The Russians impressed with their slick and precise counter-attacks in thumping the Czech Republic 4-1 in their Group A opener but, with an unchanged side, could not sustain the momentum against lively co-hosts Poland and were held to a 1-1 draw.

Analysis – Win or it’s Czech mate for Poland
WARSAW (Reuters) – Poland offered a glint of hope that they can be more than just Euro 2012 also-rans on Tuesday but their day of reckoning is not far away.
A deserved 1-1 draw with a Russian side who failed to reproduce the brilliance of their opening win kept the co-hosts in contention for a knockout stage place, but they will need to achieve what no other Polish side has done before to stay in the competition – win a European Championship game.
