As a digital NYT subscriber I don't need to see a print version of the paper every day.
HOWEVER, fashion spreads, arts coverage, design, the magazine, etc (and these sections are a competitive advantage for a paper like the Times) are more compelling and attractive in print versions so perhaps one approach would be to ditch the daily print version but keep the Sunday, or "Weekend," edition in print also for all of us (and there are many!) who still lavish attention on beautiful graphics and text on paper.
