As much as all eyes are on the earnings season, they are also on the wildfires in Southern California, which have displaced hundreds of thousands of people including many in the media, telecommunications and technology industry.
Some TV productions have been affected, and some Hollywood stars have had to pack up too.
In addition, gadget makers Sony and Kyocera have halted some production in the San Diego area because of the fires, and Sony’s Rick Clancy wrote on the electronics company’s blog of his family’s rapid evacuation: “Will our house and belongings still be there when we get to go home? Eventually, we’ll see. But, thank God we’re safe and sound.”
There has been little word yet on whether any film production has been affected by the fires.
