Vasillios,
Technically a job is when someone provides service to another for a fee. Leno is providing the service of entertainment, therefore what he does is a job. Also, I'm not really sure what prompted your statements, as no where in the blog do they refer to his show as a job, though they did call it a gig.

Having given up cable over 6 months ago and "forced" to fall back on network t.v. when t.v. is even wanted, I'm happy that Jay will be on at 10pm. He's funny and comes across as a nice guy and is certainly better than most reality t.v. shows.

That said, I would love to see more shows like Fringe - our family's favorite new show (the family consists of 2 parents and children ages 16+). The actor, John Noble (Dr Bishop), is amazing! I'd also love to see more shows like the USA Network has (Monk, Psych, Burn Notice).

I guess it's expensive taking chances (is that always true?) but that seems to be the key to creating successful new dramas/comedies. An interesting twist is how we're taking successful foreign shows and making our own versions (The Office, Coupling). Much better programs, IMO, in their original versions.

Why wouldn't he accept the deal? So much money for a few hours a day . he gets to meet so many stars for free .not fair for so many other proffessionals(teachers, truck drivers, etc) who really put time and money into their jobs, and sometimes they cannot even afford to pay their mortgage. this job that mr leno has is not a job it's a relaxation.i have nothing against mr leno ,god bless him i watch him many times . but don't tell me that this is a job .
