Henry,

Apples and oranges. Lets' be honest, your PC costs a lot more than the PS3. I'm a PC guy too, so I get that and also prefer it, but your argument doesn't really hold water. If you hadn't paid good $$$ for an upper range PC, your argument might hold water. Also, I have a hard time agreeing that PC titles provide a better selection... maybe better quality overall, but not necessarily more titles.

A Blu-Ray player isn't worth the extra $200 a PS3 costs, especially if you have a 1080p up-converting DVD player.

I've got a Wii and a Q9450 with dual HD4850s. I can buy a PC game for the same or better price than a PS3 game, get better game selection, and get far, far better graphics.

So, if Sony wants to keep their overpriced box at $399, its just another reason not to buy it. Not counting the Yellow Light of Death, too.

People calling for a Playstation 3 price cut have to compare its features to that of the other similar systems. I really like the XBOX 360, but it just doesnt have the add ons that the Playstation 3 has, namely a Blu-Ray player. And really the only fair comparison would be to the XBOX 360 because the Wii is a totally new class of system. One problem with a higher price and the availablity of newer games on the PS2, is that people are buying more PS2 systems and games than they are PS3 systems and games. The PS2 currently is selling more than the PS3, but the XBOX 360 is still beating them both.

No analyst wants a PS3 Price cut at E3. Only you do (referring the writer of the article).

Sony has announced already that the price of PS3 will not change at E3.

My guess is that it will drop in the fall.

I just wish that people will leave Sony alone about the price cut already. The only reason why the Xbox drop the price it was because it needed a bust in sales and it was THREE years old at the time.

The PS3 was only TWO Years old at the time that the xbox dropped it's price.

My guess then and now is that the PS3 will drop it's price close to the time that it turns three.

GET OFF SONY'S #*!T% about the price cut already.

Personally, I'd like to see Sony, MS, and Nintendo, start castrating industry analysts who think they run the gaming industry. Considering Sony has stated...numerous times, ad-nauseum, ad-infinitum that no price cut will be happening at E3. And considering anyone who actually takes a look at the PS3 exclusive launch pipeline, will notice that there's really nothing coming at E3...one might premuse (gasp), that they're actually going to wait until a really monstrous AAA title (GT5? GoWIII? perhaps?) is ready to launch. Until such a time as A) 45nm process has begun in wide circulation, and B) There's a major AAA title, only then do I forsee a price cut. I'm guessing holidays of 2009.

Until then, get a job, and pay for the hardware. It's more than worth it.
