Perhaps they've given him some time to find another position elsewhere, and he will quietly exit the stage in the next few months. If they keep him, it will mainly be because they do not want to spend the money to hire a seasoned antitrust litigator from a private law firm. G would rather pay Wagner 180K (which is a lot of money for him) than actually hire a senior associate or junior partner from a reputable firm.
