I found a great solution to the information overload that Facebook is constantly shoving down our throats, its the FB Purity web browser extension. It has a built in feature for filtering out these new "frictionless sharing" "Actions" and also has many other filters for getting rid of all the other annoying Facebook interface elements and TMI (too much information) madness.
