Comments on: Apple in miniature Where media and technology meet Wed, 16 Nov 2016 08:48:25 +0000 hourly 1 By: tangogo68 Thu, 25 Oct 2012 02:03:15 +0000 Are we sure that with the mobile market moving inexorably towards maturity and saturation we will continue to expect companies to have deep bags of tricks ? — most phone users, most tablet users, and most computer users are not heavily into gaming, and do not feel pressured to always be racing after tech pecs — if a device has a high quality screen that is easy on the eyes, and a fast processor that is quick to perform tasks, then wouldn’t the dominant concerns and enduring desires be around build quality and platform stability, and privacy and security ? — I admit I am an old man (approaching mid-40s) and an old Mac user (since the 1980s), and I ‘suffer’ with an old iPhone 4 and iPad 1, but I care less and less about pixels and gigahertz, and just get on with using my devices as tools (work) and toys (play) — I’m impressed with the directions Microsoft is moving in, and think their new OS and tablet look stable and strong and quite appealing, but I am glad I am not in the Android world where a new bit of kit arrives every other minute, almost as fast as the malware afflicting it.
