1) Netflix App now works on Chrome OS

2) VPN works for me but I'm using L2TP not OpenVPN

3) It's an excellent machine - lightweight and hassle free with loooong battery life.

Don't worry about it not running Amazon and Netflix. Mine runs them fine. Granted I am running the Beta Channel of Chrome right now, but I was running Nexflix on the Stable Channel. Amazon may require the Beta, but my experience with Beta is very good and I expect it will roll out to the Stable soon.

Just ordered a Samsung Chromebook 11.6 and was concerned about the article's statement that Amazon Instant Video doesn't work on the the Samsung Chromebook. This prompted me to research multiple reviews which say it works fine on series 3 chromebooks. I hope the latter are right and this is wrong. Feedback would be appreciated.

One other amazing feature you will find in the Chromebook is Remote Desktop. Well worth checking out to mitigate the learning curve needed for the mind shift to the Google world of 'computing'. If you want a preview of that on your existing machine it works via the Chrome browser on non Chromebook devices now.

Oh, and the battery life 'touted' at 6.5 hours. This is an understatement. Nothing sold at any price in the last three decades in this weight class even comes close to the battery life you get out of this device.

When Google forks Android onto the Chromebook (see all the photos yesterday of 'Android in Chrome' on the Google campus) this thing is going to go platinum.
