bond yields fell on Friday as a surprise decision by the Bank of
Japan to expand its monetary stimulus saw investors pile into
Japan’s central bank, worried that inflation is not heading
towards its 2 percent target, will accelerate purchases of
government bonds and of exchange-traded funds and real estate

steadied on Tuesday as investors took a cautious approach ahead
of the results of a U.S. Federal Reserve policy meeting.
The Federal Open Market Committee meets on Tuesday and
Wednesday, with the market focus on what policymakers will say
about the path of monetary easing.
LONDON, Oct 22 (Reuters) – Yields on lower-rated euro zone
government bonds retreated further on Wednesday from highs hit
last week, as the possibility of European Central Bank purchases
of corporate bonds brought riskier assets back into favour.
The ECB is considering buying corporate bonds and may decide
as soon as December with a view to begin purchases early next
year, several sources familiar with the situation told Reuters.
