Black Friday warriors share their best attack plans

Nov 25 (Reuters) – When Aimee Brittain’s team hits the
stores in a commando-like fashion on Thanksgiving night in
search of Black Friday deals, they’ll stand out from the crowd
in their matching bright blue shirts. They’ll scatter when they
hit the store, and the shirts will help them see each other

It’s different for the Goldman sisters. Stephanie Goldman, a
Cliffside Park, New Jersey, public relations executive, and her
sisters Nadine Kleinman of Highland Park, New Jersey, and
Valerie Goldman of Washington, D.C., travel in a pack, flooding

U.S. homeowners won’t get much relief from JPMorgan deal

By Mitch Lipka

(Reuters) – U.S. consumers who suffered through the mortgage crisis – and even those who experienced losses from Superstorm Sandy – could benefit from the record $13 billion settlement with JPMorgan Chase & Co. But they should not expect a windfall, consumer advocates say.

“Consumers will not see relief in the ways they traditionally do when companies settle complaints about wrongdoing,” said John Breyault, vice president of public policy, telecommunications and fraud at the National Consumers League. “Consumer relief from this settlement will instead include principal forgiveness, loan modifications and efforts to reduce blight.”

In recent years airlines have stripped down their base fares in a process called “unbundling” – often not including even a single piece of luggage or a seat assignment in the price. And as most travelers know, they have added ways to charge people who want to bring along a suitcase, know where they’re going to sit or change a scheduled flight.
