Double trouble: naked ambition on the stunt front…

Call it asking for credit where credit is dubious. It turns out a Chinese actress who played movie star Zhang Ziyi’s naked body double in “The Banquet” wants her name in the movie’s credits.

“The Banquet” features several body doubles to play Zhang in nude and fight scenes.  Shao Xiaoshan said she was paid 20,000 yuan ($2,500) for shooting several nude scenes, and she wants recognition for it.  Here’s the story:zhang300.jpg

Almost NO ONE working as a body double gets credit! That’s the rules and someone demanding it should have done so BEFORE they agreed to do the job! I’ve worked as a producer and as a body double before that among other things. As a producer, I would feel betrayed by an after-the-fact demand like this, IN PUBLIC on top of it - obviously a trick to get special attention. As a body double, this is a disrespect of the profession: I hope people realize that not all body doubles feel like they’re a failing actress who would stop at nothing to make up in ego for what she lacks in self-esteem.

For $2500.00, I’ll be a nude stand-in.
