You know that person on your Christmas list who is so, um, unusual, that you can never find the right gift and you always just end up getting him a gift certificte for psychiatric help, and you doubt if he ever actually uses it?

Good news. ”Unabomber” Theodore Kaczynski’s journal, as well as axes, typewriters and books seized from his Montana cabin, will be sold in an Internet auction to help pay restitution to his victims.  Keep watching for the time and Website.

Very strangely, when I read about this I had the most surprising reaction. After last week’s news from Britain and all that almost happened, I actually felt a little nostalgic for the days when sending bombs through the mail and killing three people was all it took to scare the public to death and justify a spooky nickname.  I’m afraid those days are over.
