Well-wishers: the spare change adds up

Here’s a tip. The next time you toss a coin into a wishing well or romantic fountain where you’re encouraged to make a wish, what you should wish for is the rest of the coins in the fountain.

It seems those coins add up quickly, according to the “Fountain Money Mountain” report, which found that one in five adults in the UK regularly throws a copper or two into wishing wells and fountains.

Moreover, those same people toss in just under six million dollars a year, which if harnessed for charitable deeds would go a long way. Here’s the story. Here’s our story, by Jennifer Hill:
