I’m at my wit’s end. I’m a ventriloquist, and it’s just impossible to find matching outfits for myself and my dummy. They need to be kind of flashy, because after all, we are in show business. Any ideas?

Well, Lips, this may be your lucky day. Looking at our photos from the Paris Haute Couture shows this week, I see a number of suitable creations, including the one shown here. It is obviously an imitation of the Madonna and child, with the child presented as the Holy Infant, from Renaissance Catholic art. The designer has them in pink, maybe as a joke, or to bend the gender of the infant, or just to be different for spring.
