This is an amazing story from China. It seems hospitals there are under fire for being greedy - charges of unnecessary medications, excessive fees, the usual.
So, some reporters substituted tea for urine and submitted the samples for tests. What happened? Six out of 10 hospitals in one city concluded that the patients’ urinal tracts were infected, and most prescribed medication.
This means you should be pretty darned careful where you go for medical treatment in China; it may also mean you will want to avoid ordering the tea in hospital cafeterias. Here’s the story:

A Chinese laboratory worker inspects urine samples in a 2004 photo.
