“And then my heart with pleasure fills, and hip-hops with the daffodils”

daffodils.jpgCall it poetry from the “Flake District.”  Call it whatever you like, but it’s a new way to absorb a wonderful poem by Lake District poet William Wordsworth, and that’s not a bad thing.

I am turning this posting over to video footage of a giant red squirrel named M.C. Nuts, belting out a hip-hop version of “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud.”

Kids, if you like this, I’m pretty sure this poet’s work is also available in book form. Check it out:

Ah yes, modernizing poetry. I in particular am a fan of the techno version of Frost’s “Mending Wall.”
