This blog had a very popular item last week about a new dress that lights up, thanks to light-emitting diodes. Today, we have a video update on this fashion innovation.
There seems to be some question about whether consumers will be able to buy the dress anytime soon, but it is clear that the price tag would approach $16,000.
The good news is, you can duplicate it yourself for much less than that, using only a few common household items:
- some old dress
- six strands of indoor/outdoor Christmas lights, and duct tape
- a canvas beach bag with a car battery and jumper cables
- a tube of first aid ointment for mild burns
