Boots: Something drastic in plastic?
It’s great when the fashion industry pays attention to our practical needs.
Take for instance these boots, unveiled during Milan fashion week. When the thunderstorms come next spring, who wouldn’t be thrilled to pull on a pair of plastic boots that fit so loosely the rain will quickly fill them up? You get all the comfort of slogging through the downpour with several pounds of water dragging you down.
And once that first speeding taxi zooms through a mud puddle and splashes you, you’ll have filthy sewer water visible up to your calves, maybe with worms and spiders and old bagels floating there, too. Your friends will watch the show like some bad screensaver, while your marinating toes turn to Raisinets. But hey, small price to pay for fashion, right?

If I were a foot fetishist, I would probably view these from a twisted love-hate perspective.
Pssst. Mr. Basler!
Maybe there’s a matching bikini?
guy’s gotta dream.
Yo, Mama! What’s with them freaky tan lines?
Now you’ve done it. Next runway show, the boots will be topped with an elastic seal and filled with all manner of colorful liquids.
And then, someone is going to sell Model’s Best Bootwater Coffee for $50.00 a tiny little cup. Yeesh!
See the two bony knobs on the sides of her ankles? There’s a hollow just behind them. Behind the hollow is the Achilles tendon. Begin the nibbling… right… there but oh-so-gently. Trust me on this one.
Windex, maam?
To be fair, women usually wear boots under trousers and the legs won’t likely be loose on any woman who actually eats food, but high-heeled platform rainboots? Does the designer own shares in a medical supply company?
These boots aren’t made for walking …
I wonder what the rest of her outfit looked like.. O.O
Prada for the Toesies……..
Um, hate to break it to you Mr. Reuters, but those boots aren’t made for walking…….if you get the idea. xoxo Shoelover

The matching saran wrap miniskirt and corset might be slightly objectionable at PTA meetings.
