Blog Guy, As a mime, I need to speak up, even though you know, we don’t actually speak. You’ve covered fashion for ventriloquists, police decoys, even Smurfs - everyone but mimes! So I’m putting on an irritating, exaggerated frowny face until someone pays attention!
Good tactic, you win! All it took was the kind of pure irritation that only mimes can deliver.
At a fashion show in Kazakhstan this week, models unveiled the new fall mime collection, probably from inside those glass boxes where mimes are always trapped. So slather on some more white makeup, and get ready to howl! Silently, of course.

I have been to Almaty [for my son’s adoption] and I have to say, this is not so weird, for Kazakhstan. There’s a store with a large model of the Eiffel Tower in front of it, and it’s easy to buy fresh horse heads at the farmer’s market. So a little white makeup is no big thang…
- Posted by Dee TI never understood why mimes wore clothes.
- Posted by Shawn HendricksIf the designer is Kyrgyz-British, why does the dress feature the Japanese kanjii symbol for Prosperity/Fortune Gained From The Purchases/Custom/Acquisitions of Fools/Idiots?
