Gimme a C! Gimme an H! Gimme a sexy outfit!

June 17, 2008

dream-combo-180.jpgQuick quiz: The women below are…

a) Weather ladies on a local TV news show
b) Berry Girls at a strawberry shortcake festival
c) Cheerleaders

They are Chinese cheerleaders. I was surprised too, since this isn’t how most guys think cheerleaders should look. I’m pretty sure these outfits were patterned after the ones worn by Puritan cheerleaders at the Salem witch trials, but clearly the designer also was influenced by “I Dream of Jeannie” reruns.

In my opinion, if even one guy in China sees a video of a Dallas Cowboys game and catches a glimpse of their cheerleaders between now and the Olympics, the result is not going to be pretty.

Are those girls old enough to be dressing in anything more revealing? They look to be about ten years old.

My thoughts exactly. Bob, may I suggest a new pair of reading glasses?!

I’ve gone back to the series of pictures – I think they’re considerably older than you think they are.

I find their outfits cute! I appreciate more modesty than less. Who are we to critisize another culture anyway…

I apologize for my misspelling: criticize

Lena is right.

XINJIANG is the muslim part of China, plus they are proud of their culture heritage that was and is still broken by the central government….

Have you ever been to some of their (China) supermarkets or restaurants: have a clear look a the sales ladies, most of them look and are outfitted like race models!!

Your post sounds so immature and ingnorant. Travel more and post less…

Robert, please spend some time in China before assuming all Chinese men are like some of the deviates that frequent the Dallas Cowboys games, not to watch the game but to perve on the cheerleaders. Don’t get me wrong I’m sure there are plenty of deviates in China but isn’t it also the women and children, rest of the world, that would be watching these cheerleaders in Xin Jiang? Most traditional dress styles of Chinese and other ethnic groups within China have a ‘bit more class’ than most western styles anyway.

I would pick D) Local women auditioning for the Chinese remake of Jeannie!

As for the last few comments… please realize this is a comic blog. Robert is making a joke and most of us realize and appreciate that. If you are looking for some sort of serious commentary, you’re not in the right place.
