Blog Guy, I know you provide fantasy videos, so I have a request. I’ve always wanted to see a whole bunch of guys shoving gooey cannoli in their mouths as fast as they can, with the sweet cream just oozing down their sticky faces.
Have you rented the whole Sopranos series on DVD?
Of course. I’m not helpless!
Okay. Here’s a couple of minutes of video from a Cannoli Eating Competition, where the winner ate 20 cannolis in six minutes.
Then he said it was a “dream come true” just to stand at the table with the other cannoli-eaters, and then he cried.
Oh please! He CRIED? Over winning a cannoli eating contest?
I’m afraid so. But you know what, this morning I crammed 20 cannoli down my own throat in six minutes to see what would happen.
And?
I cried, too.

Hahahaha… So he’s been dreaming of -his GREAT AMBITION has been- stuffing his mouth with… You know what? Never mind.
I cannoli imagine what else he hopes to accomplish…
- Posted by BandageWell, what I want to know is what were his shoes like? Where are the pictures of his shoes? Enquiring pedal-philes* want to know.
Perhaps he is crying because he just found out that his prize is a new wardrobe — designed by Ralph Lauren. If that were the case (and I were in his shoes), I’d be snot-hanging-down-to-my-toes bawling!
*Not to be confused with “pedophile.”
- Posted by RLMThis new blog thing sucks big time, I’m removing the Oddly Enough gadget from my iGoogle homescreen, I won’t be coming here anymore.
- Posted by JasonWhy do people have to screw up a good thing?
I agree… bye bye Reuters… e-mail me when the Oddly Enough STORIES are linked to the Google Gadget again.
- Posted by Andrewwhat happened to the old oddly enough where we got cool odd stories and not weird attempted humor or blog like entries?
- Posted by spazI agree whole heartedly about ruining a great thing. I used to enjoy Oddly Enough but am now removing from my favorites until the old format is reinstated!!!
- Posted by MKSThis is hilarious!
People keep griping about this being “blog-style”. Apparently, they haven’t noticed that this is the Oddly Enough BLOG…not the Oddly Enough NEWS.
Illiteracy is bad, people.
Say “no” to crack.
- Posted by KThere is the gadget for Oddly Enough.. the proper news one.. you just have to search for Oddly Enough in the Add stuff section and it comes up. There are a few listings but read them and one of them says news!!! Its just like the old one! Not sure what happened n why it is linked to the Blog one now!
- Posted by STo those people who are so lazy, stupid and/or illiterate that they don’t read the link on the left side of the screen (or the address) so as to see that this is not the oddly enough news: APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD!
I swear, these grippers/whiners are almost as entertaining as the Blog Guy — almost. So they have been reading the oddly enough news for how long, and they never noticed the links to this blog? No wonder they don’t notice the link to the oddly enough news now!
They remind me of a guy who works out at the same gym I do. The facility repainted the weight room from off-white to red, yellow, and black, and this guy asks: “Did they paint in here?”
As my DI used to say: “Get you head outta you rectum” and “look around you [expletive deleted by author]head — what do you see?”
- Posted by RLMI guess the http://BLOGS.reuters.com isn’t obvious enough. or that big title at the top that says Reuters Blogs. Or the sidebar at the left that has an Oddly Enough link and clearly shows that you’re in the Blogs section…
- Posted by VladI don’t think people are complaining about the blog site as much as the iGoogle app that has always pointed at the news, and not the blog. While I’m sure a bit of reading would cure the situation, I do find it odd that they would change the current app to display the blog rather than just create a new one. But…oddly enough, they did!
