Blog Guy, I’m going to take advantage of that thing where you set up scientific tests to answer reader questions.
My friends and I wondered. Say you had a pretty strong woman, with a reinforced black iron dome on her head, and she ran full-speed at a chicken wire fence. Would she be able to break through and then get back to the starting line? Please, a lot of money is riding on this.
Well, we set up four tests under exacting specifications, and I have to report that they were able to make it back safely only 25 percent of the time.
Just the one woman, huh?
Yeah, and even she didn’t seem too happy about it. My advice is, if you’re planning sorority party games, go with something else.

Wow so these people actually used chicken wire? only one question. Why?

- Posted by AnnieFYI, that is not chicken wire. It more closely resembles the plastic netting I put over my ponds and water gardens in the fall to keep falling leaves out. Hmmm. Come to think of it, she does remind me of the Lady of Shalott, dressed in black rather white…yes, and in a demonic kind of way.

- Posted by InuI don’t understand, what is the point of these fashion shows? The models don’t wear anything that anyone would ever wear in any other setting whatsoever. Are these just massive parties, where fashion designers make bets on who can come up with the goofiest outfit? Is the whole thing just so fashion designers can sit around and laugh and be catty to one another? “Ooh, girl, you stole my PVC-fur-trimmed-Christmas-light-strewn Catsuit idea!” I’m serious, I don’t get it at all, I really don’t.
