Confidential note to fashion design staff:
We’re really in a jam. Over the past couple of years we’ve made designs as stupid and shocking as possible, and now we’ve got nowhere to go. We’ve hit the bottom of the barrel, and then gone under the barrel.
I mean, short of sending models out on the runway with guns, I don’t know what… BOING! Hey, that’s not half bad! Maybe a nice snub-nose revolver or a compact semi-automatic. Even our numbed audiences might actually be offended by that.
But ya know, just to be on the safe side, let’s have the girls shoot some golden retriever puppies while they’re out there.

Fashion designers do seem to be under the gun, these days. Note to models: It’s a very, very bad idea to carry a firearm pointed up in the vicinity of your head. People do slip, ya know.
Interesting design: the femme fatale becomes the detective/villain. “Down these mean streets a [wo]man must go. . . .” Somehow, the classic femme fatale seemed much meaner than these models. And more seductive, too. Somehow, I doubt these models could carry off a drive-by slapping, much less the “simple art of murder.”
I know everyone hopes for a hit but this is just silly…
Man, they really jumped the gun on that one!
And none of those girls are practicing the number one rule of gun safety! Keep your finger out of the trigger guard!

Someone needs to teach the models a bit though. Keep it pointed in a safe direction and keep your finger off that trigger.
It’s fashion, you look at it and go “oh, that’s (x)”. Who cares, honestly? People are getting more carried away with the term “offended” each year. It seems like EVERYTHING is offensive in America these days, and other countries are following. If it doesn’t kill you then who cares!? Honestly lighten up world.
Do you ever write anything funny? I’ve inadvertently clicked on your headline several times and I have yet to see anything funny in what you write. Don’t get me wrong, I like intelligent, snarky humor is much as the next person. But yours is neither intelligent nor humorous; it’s just plain stupid. Runway models shooting golden retriever puppies? Is that what constitutes wit for you? Please at least TRY to write something funny.
Hey, Carl – if it was me, I’d see a doctor about that problem you have with inadvertently clicking on a blog you don’t like, over and over and over.

Well, after all, its Ukraine. Having been opressed by Soviet socialism, then Putin’s gangsters, they understand quite well the value of firearms.
These models do set a bad example,in terms of gun safety, but I would hope that the hosts of the show made sure the guns were empty, so that no accident would results in any of the guns firing. You don’t need to be Einstein, to remove the bullets, in the name of safety!

Hey Carl (and Nick), here’s an idea. If you can’t resist coming back, how about just writing a funny comment? We’re all here to laugh, either with Bob or each other. What are you here for?
The only reason I’m even saying this is because everyone’s already been sidetracked by your extraordinary ‘Wet Blanket’ superpower.
I personally don’t see what the big deal is. For some reason the author of this article seems to be personally offended by the firearms. Why? Perhaps some therapy might help you through that.
