Seventy-six trombones couldn’t wake me up!
Blog Guy, I read that there’s an important meeting of Chinese officials going on in Shanghai. I know your foreign news sources are first-rate. I want details!
That would be the 2nd Plenary Session of the 11th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Shanghai Committee.
Gosh, when you put it that way… But anyway, I saw a photo of the opening ceremony, with this huge brass marching band and big drums… I bet that had the delegates standing up to cheer! Really energized the old spirit, eh what?
Well, at least it didn’t interrupt their naps.
The delegates take NAPS?
Sure, but just until they wake up. That could be anytime now.
Oh, so they don’t nap ALL the time?
I don’t suppose so! They need to eat, don’t they?
