Deputy in a doughnut shop?

Many of you have asked me to do blog updates on events at the popular Goofy Face Museum and Doughnut Shop, here in Washington, DC.

Big things are happening! During inauguration week Washington was bursting at the seams, and the Museum got seven visitors – a record for us!

Our gift shop sold two mugs and had five t-shirts shop-lifted, another record! Plus, the Health Department says our doughnut machine is just a couple of cleanings away from passing inspection!

But the REALLY big news is that we’ve opened our long-awaited Don Knotts Exhibit, to show photos of celebrities making the late comedian’s iconic pop-eyed face.

Watch out, Smithsonian!

I don’t know, with their mouths and eyes wide open like that, I think they look more like the canary in the coal mine… after successfully doing his job.
