Well, THIS is a FINE mess!
We’re right on deadline for the Time cover story about Pope Benedict meeting Israeli President Shimon Peres in Jerusalem, and we don’t know which is which!
We’re losing money with every minute that goes by! Does anybody have the slightest idea who’s who?
That humongous cross dangling from the one guy’s white outfit COULD be a clue, but I’m not certain. And yeah, those Vatican and Israeli flags may mean something, but… I guess we’ll just have to flip a coin!
Wait! We’re SAVED! Here come some more specific photo captions! Look! The pope is on the left and Peres is on the right! Huzzah!
I can’t believe we came THIS close to getting it wrong!

Mr Bob,
Where did the pope get his pointy dunce cap in the 2nd picture? I must have one!
- Posted by timIn case the white robe and crucifix aren’t enough, you also have the guy on the left sitting under a picture of a menora and next to a flag with the Star of David on it. Does that help?
- Posted by Bandagethat was dumb. They look nothing alike. At all.
- Posted by mikeReally Mike? If you just switched their outfits no one would stand a chance of identifying them.
- Posted by MarErrr…at least I wouldn’t, I always just assume the guy in the weirdest outfit is the pope (no one in their right mind would wear something like that!)
Hold the press! They got it mixed up! Isn’t the guy in the yarmulka (skullcap) the Jewish one?
