News, but not the serious kind
Agriculture culture in the paddy, daddy!
Welcome back to our regular feature, Stuff Maybe we Should Have Explained in the Caption, but Didn’t.
Our full caption for this photo, which you may read below and which I did not tamper with, tells us this pianist is performing during a concert in the middle of a rice paddy in Taiwan.
Huh?
Well we can SEE that, can’t we?
I mean, it’s not that I DOUBT those details or anything, but having grown up myself in an agricultural region seriously lacking in farm- based entertainment, I’m just curious about stuff:
- Is this guy like so bad, this is the only place he can play?
-

Is it really a “concert” if only a dog is listening?
- Is it Intermission? Are those people in the corner off to the concession stand for Milk Duds?
- Is it politically correct for him to play “Chopsticks” in a Taiwanese rice paddy?

Something wrong with playing “Chopsticks”?
The 40th anniversary of Woodstock didn’t draw the expected crowd.”..by the time we got to Woodstock, we were half a dozen strong….”
Solitude, piano, Milk Duds, Prozac, rice, Xanax, dog … my head hurts.
I’m not even sure the dog is listening.
i belive he mean “Chopin”, it’s an old joke here on Taiwan already.do visit us, we still have more fun for everyone to discover, many thanks Robert.
LMR, no one’s listening.. see the tiny colour dots at the far end.. those are people who cant run away fast enough….The dog must be a pet, but obviously even they have their limits….CAM, sendinng those meds to Bob was a mistake. Do you agree?
