We try to keep you up to date on really stupid stuff  going on, and you should know about this. A neo-Nazi gang member has gone on trial for murder in Florida, and a controversy has arisen over some tattoos on his face and neck, notably a swastika and an obscene word.

No, sorry, that’s not the stupid part. It seems his lawyer argued that the tattoos, which the guy got AFTER his arrest, could prejudice jurors, who might form hasty opinions about a fellow just because he had a swastika carved on his neck.

But that STILL isn’t the really stupid part. Be patient, it’s coming now. The judge agreed, and has ordered the state to PAY a reported $150 per day for a professional to apply makeup before trial each day to cover up the offensive tattoos.

I am not making this up. He gets to wear make-up, just as if he was George Clooney on a movie set, even though he isn’t.

I’m using a photo here of a different guy with a neck swastika, to see if you have strong feelings about it. Compare it with actress Angelina Jolie’s far more attractive “Billy Bob” tattoo, just like “Billy Bob” tattoos most of us have.

Note to self: Double check to make sure I’m not paying any taxes in the State of Florida.
