Blog Guy, I need you to settle a bet with the guy who’s asphalting my nephew’s driveway.
Yes, yes, fine, that’s my sole purpose for living, to settle bets. What is it this time?
Would it be possible for a polar bear to kill a President of the United States?
No. That’s just stupid. Four presidents have been killed in office, all of them with guns. None by polar bears.

Yes, but they do keep pretty good records about stuff like that.
Look here, I’ve asked Vinny, our Oddly Enough staff sculptor, to create a piece to show you how bizarre this would seem. Is this ridiculous, or what?
My God!!!!!! That’s Barack Obama! That’s not the president I meant! Our bet was about whether a polar bear could have killed President Millard Fillmore! Make your sculptor change it!
I’m sorry I jumped to the wrong conclusion. Hey, Vinny, can you work tomorrow? Bring your tools with you.

I gotta say, that’s the most unexpected expression on the Prez’s face. I somehow imagine a completely different look after your head has been ripped off by a polar bear. Maybe he had a full dose of medi-donuts beforehand. Dammit, why won’t he share?

No way could a polar bear have killed Millard Filmore. The bear would’ve been FAR too distracted by the weird hairstyle.
I had a dream about Obama last night. He didn’t have his head ripped off by a polar bear though. I believe we were discussing the political ties between America and Kenya.

I’d have liked polar bears in my dreams last night. Instead I got Knit_Nurse driving me around windswept seaside towns in a Trabant whilst we got nearly swept away by waves. But we did have our own field of wheat for grinding into bread flour, which was nice.
Please assure me that Nurse was nowhere near the Cumbria carnage….
