Oddly Enough Blog
News, but not the serious kind
Okay, make a wish!

Blog Guy, you occasionally offer advice on jobs we should stay away from, and I wondered if you’ve seen anything recently.
Yes. This photo illustrates a very good example of a field not to pursue if you can avoid it.
Ah, so you’re speaking of the exciting field of holding some guy’s stinky feet in your face all day. Yes, your point is well-taken and I won’t be falling for that trick.
No, in terms of career advice, I was more talking about the dude who is actually being held upside-down in a hole in the street. THAT is the career to avoid.
How silly of me. I guess it can’t be much fun working upside-down with the blood rushing to your head, grabbing rubbish out of that hole. That’s what he’s doing?
No. According to our caption, he’s installing underground electric cables.
Seriously? Wait, I’m shuffling through glossy recruiting brochures from my career adviser.
Yes! Here it is! “The Exciting World of Installing Underground Electric Cables While Dangling by your Ankles.”
That’s the job. Just out of curiosity, how are they trying to sell it in the glossy brochure?
Let’s see, it says here, “Do you enjoy working outdoors but you’re tired of wasting money on sunglasses? Would you like to have tanned legs that will be the envy of all your friends?”

This appears to be an example of the fine Northern Indian tradition of playing ‘wishbone’ with the new guy.
Yes, Nosmo. Initially I was going to post our video clip of this scene as well, but that sharp crack sound was kind of disgusting, so I went without it.
Ah well… if this was the mafia…
Due to the lack of indoor plumbing in that particular region swirleys have to be improvised.
I thought it was like a divining rod, looking for water lines.
You have to admire his work ethic, he just dives right in. As for the other guys, I guess holding someone else’s ankles at work sure beats having to grab your own.
Ahhh Baz, you’re so funny. You crack me up.
E.
OK Sanjay, sing it with me now ‘It’s fun to stay at the Y …..’, uh, Sanjay, how do we do an ‘M’?
Look! It’s Sanjay, The Human Dowsing Rod!
Or maybe they’re just checking how deep the water is around those electrical cables…
In any case, it’s good to see that the Darwin Award isn’t dead yet
Well ya gotta give ‘em credit for one thing. At least they are standing directly in any puddles.
That should be the are *not* standing directly in any puddles. Makes more sense that way. :p
Sure hope the power isn’t on…
Zee, he got Ajay and Pankaj to help!
They should have held him a little higher, you know… the magic letter would then have been revealed!
You know Sanjay, I’m getting sick of this job. I hear there are some job openings in Italy, picking mushrooms in a forest. How dangerous could THAT be?
LOL cool one
The bloke on the right is distracted by something and about to let go…
