Fashion mirage in a parking garage?

October 16, 2010

FASHION/

Okay fashion show staff, we really need to cut costs on our fashion show this week. Lamar, I put you in charge of trimming the fat. What have you come up with?

FASHION/Boss, I think you’ll like this. First, we’re not showing our creations on the runway, where all the other designers are. That will save us a fortune.

Um, where ARE we showing them, then?

Wait for it, Boss. In the same building, but in the underground parking garage! I mean, it’s free, and everybody who’s going to the real show will have to pass by there and see our outfits. Brilliant, huh?

fashion voltage crop 240I guess, Lamar. Isn’t the lighting pretty bad down there?

Don’t underestimate fluorescent lights, boss. Plus, our designs are pretty crappy. You really want people to see them that well?

No, I guess not. So this will save us quite a bit of money, but we’ll still be in the red. Paying fashion models is a huge expense, and we just can’t get around that.

That’s where you’re wrong, Boss. I saved the best surprise for last. After they show the clothes, the models will follow my arrows on the floor to show them the exit, as usual.

And?

Check it out, boss….

I see Lamar has missed one important step. He has got the model to take her shoes off, but has forgotten to put water on the floor, leading to the changing room/exit, for a more, um, enlightening experience. Kerzzzapp!

Its a creative idea but its not well thought out. Parking lots are dark and you can see the advertisement very well anyway.

Damn she’s made of wax.

This wicked awesome plot seems to be in direct violation of Lamar’s role as archbishop. I think instead of just not paying the models, he should trap them in a basement and force-feed them apple pie and chili until they develop appropriate and attractive figures. That girl definitely has potential ;)
